    Arizona Renessaince Festival Ends

Friday, April 4, 2008, 04:02 PM PST [General]

Well Met to One and All!

The Arizona Renassaince Festival ended its 20th year this past weekend.  It was once again, a wonderful experience.  A chance to visit with old friends and meet new ones.  A chance to sample the many fine foods and drinks.  A chance to enjoy, laugh, eat, drink, shop, and, for some, even cry a little (you know who you are).

So until next year, we shall wait with baited anticipation!

Now, we shall set our sites on Renaissance in the Pines (June 21 & 22, Flagstaff, AZ) and look forward to yet another fine, if somewhat smaller, faire.

    Until next we meet....

    Aiden

Arizona Renaissance Festival has begun! Huzzah!!!

Sunday, February 10, 2008, 07:38 PM PST [General]

    Well Met One and All,

    ARF has officially begun!

I just returned from the Fest and while the crowd was less than I usually see there, I have faith they will pick up and this will be another great year!

If you get a chance to go, make sure you stop and see "Hey Nunny, Nunny!" or "The Dead Bob Show" - wonderful comedy shows!  And of course, a spectacular joust!  Or maybe just stop and listen to the enchanting harp of Sarah Marie Mullen!  And for the wee-ones there's a petting zoo, a playground, and quite a few rides.

Food galore, from turkey legs, to pizza, to beef stew served in a bread bowl (my personal favorite)!  And if you've never had one, you simply must try the chocolate covered strawberries - definitely to die for!

And shopping!  Oh my, the shopping.  Stores and booths and pavillions a plenty!  From garb to accessories, to oddities - I'm pretty sure you'll find something you like.

Surely there is something for everyone to enjoy!  To check out thier website, go here.

    Til We Meet Again,

    Aiden

    Return from Two Rivers

Monday, February 4, 2008, 10:06 PM PST [General]

Well Met to One and All,

My Liege-Lord, His Grace, The Lord Michael Roxbury, and myself have just returned from the Two Rivers Renaissance Faire in Yuma, AZ.

I am glad to announce that it appears to have been a success!  While My Lord and I were the only representatives of The American Renaissance Guilds and Empire that were able to fully attend, we were still able to raise quite a few bills of the "King's Currency" for our charity.  And at the same time, we were able to have some fun in the process.  We met new friends - grammarcy to Master Mark Titgen for the most excellent meade - and reacquainted ourselves with some old.

The days were mild and pleasant, but the nights were enough to freeze the arse off a witch's cat!  Still, the faire-goers were nice and should the fates smile upon us, new members may soon be joining!

If thou hast a moment to spare, take a rest by looking at the pictures found in the Two Rivers album....

    Til We Meet Again,

    Aiden

    So Beginnith the Season

Sunday, January 27, 2008, 07:16 PM PST [General]

Well Met to One and All....

Our Faire season is beginning and will find me headed to the Two Rivers Festival in Yuma, AZ come the 31st of January.  The Festival is 1 - 3 Feb.  My liege-lord - Lord Roxbury - and I are taking the TARGE ensemble to the Festival and will hopefully be able to drum up a few more members.  Even so, we are expecting to have some good times and are looking forward to seeing and meeting the people.  Should you be in the neighborhood, stop The Arizona Renaissance Guild and Empire pavillion and share a drink or some food, join the guild, or just say hello!

As this will be my first time attending Two Rivers, I look forward to sampling the wares and favors of the area.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

     Until our return,

    Fair thee well...

    Return from a long absence

Thursday, November 22, 2007, 10:36 AM PST [General]

Well Met and the Merriest Day of Thanksgiving to All!

I haven't been around the last couple of months because I was in Pennsylvania to help my Dad through his cancer treatments.

Sadly, he lost his battle on the 15th of October.  He may not have been a "great" man, but he was kind, loving, and a good friend...he will be missed!  If not for the friends and family that lent me support thru this ordeal, I'm not sure how I would have fared.  My undying gratitude goes out to each and every one of them!

To anyone who has attempted to contact me during this absence, I apologize...but I'm back now.

     Aiden
